Comprehensive Health
Services is a major site for the training of naturopathic residents
and medical students, osteopathic medical students, front office
medical administrative assistants, back office medical assistants,
sports medicine/orthopedic assistants, medical billers and coders,
and physical therapy technicians. We currently have a residency
program in conjunction with Bastyr
University to train naturopathic physicians in Family Practice. We currently have
clinical training agreements for third and fourth year medical
students enrolled in the Midwestern
University Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine, and
the Southwest
College of Naturopathic Medicine; and we have externship
training agreements with Apollo College, Long Technical College, and
the Maricopa Skill Center.
Our students learn necessary skills in
medical office management, as well as clinical skills in their area
of specialization. By working with our clinical staff, our clerical
staff, and with patients, these training professionals get the skill
and expertise that they need to take care of patients in a clinical
setting. Our patients also benefit by getting extra medical care and
attention, and by knowing that they have helped to contribute to the
education of so many fine young professionals.
